- Mari was filmed closing the nostrils of the Brazilian defender who later woke up with a cheeky smile
Arsenal's influential defender David Luiz was paid back with his own coin after his new teammate Pablo Mari pranked him while sleeping.
The 26-year-old star became a Gunner after joining the Emirates Stadium outfit during the winter transfer window on a six months loan deal from Flamengo.
Mari has not been handed his debut yet by his new manager Mikel Arteta as he continues to acquaint himself with the rest of the team in Dubai at the moment.
The defender must have attracted interest from the European club after impressing during his side's FIFA Club World Cup against Liverpool in December.
Meanwhile, a short clip of the Spaniard playing a prank on his teammate who is the master of the craft in the Gunners dressing room has emerged.
The 26-year-old grasped Luiz's nostrils while caught sleeping in the team bus on their way to the airport while fellow stars like Nicolas Pepe was startled.
According to SunSport, the 32-year-old was really caught unawares by his new teammate who came in to grab his nostrils.

The Brazilian then woke up with a cheeky smile, knowing the Spaniard has caught out his defensive partner.
Apart from Mari, Arsenal also signed Cedric Soares on a short term loan deal from Southampton until the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Eddie Nketiah's loan deal with Leeds United was cut short as the youngster returned to his parent club last month.
Despite appointing Arteta new manager late last year, not much has improved at the Emirates Stadium as they occupy the tenth position on the Premier League table.
Their next EPL clash will be against tricky Newcastle United on Sunday, February 16.
Legit.ng earlier reported that David Luiz was being petty with his teammates while they were heading to training on the club bus.
The former Chelsea star was busy tormenting the young players on the bus while they were taking a nap.
Luiz would block their nostrils to avoid the players' breathe and they would eventually wake up.
The Brazilian defender was moving from one player to another while recording the incident with his phone.
