Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy recently caused a stir on social media, after he came out to seriously brag about his artistry in the Nigerian music industry.

The singer started off by stating that he has always known he was and is still the best artist in the country. According to him, his fellow colleagues in the entertainment industry can attest to the fact that he is the best thing to happen to the industry since the death of the legendary musician, Fela Kuti.

Burna Boy, however, added that since colleague, Timaya, shared some private words of advice with him, he stopped worrying about being the best artist.

According to him, the world can and would continue spinning without the best artist.

Reacting to his tweet, a particular user identified as Jezzyofficial, queried the singer by asking him where he was within the space of 2010-2018, and where he was when afrobeat was struggling to make it to the forefront.

The individual added that other artistes paved a way for him and he only came in after the table had already been set.

Burna Boy was not having any of the words that were peddled against him. He returned to strongly note that nobody paved the way for him in the industry. He accused fellow artistes of begging the western world for recognition.

According to the Ye crooner, he is the one true artist that has given the Nigerian music industry the respect that it now enjoys.

Reacting to the singer's loss, Alabi who is a human resource expert revealed that she did not want him to win the award. She explained that she thought winning the award would ruin him.
