- Jeremie Boga is set for a sensational return to Stamford Bridge
- The 23-year-old midfielder left Stamford Bridge for Sassuolo in 2018 in a £3.5m deal
- Frank Lampard has now identified the player as long term replacement for Willian
Chelsea have reportedly concluded plans to lure their former player Jeremie Boga back to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues got their transfer ban lifted before the start of the winter transfer window but Frank Lampard failed to sign any player in the process.
In spite of their failure to bring any player in the last two windows, the London club is still keeping tabs on the fourth position on the table.
Although they were linked with a move to sign out-of-favour Paris Saint Germain forward Edison Cavani last month, the deal, however, failed to happen.
Meanwhile, Daily Star reports that Chelsea are ready to make a move for their academy product who left them two years ago.
Boga moved to the Stamford Bridge at age 12 in 2008 from ASPTT Marseille, and in 2015, he got promoted to the club main team.
But he failed to break into the Blues squad and was sent on loan to Rennes, Granada, and Birmingham before joining Sassuolo.

The Italian League signed the midfielder in a deal around £3.5 million two years back and Lampard wants the player back in his team.
He has made 22 appearances for his Serie A side - scoring seven goals and two assists in the topflight so far this season.
Daily Star quoting The Sun reports that Blues representatives are expected to meet Sassuolo ahead of the proposed return of the player.
The Europa League defending champions had a chance to sign Boga for £15 million during the winter transfer market but turned it down claiming the price was too high.
They will now be forced to pay much higher as Lampard sees the youngster as a long term replacement for Brazilian star Willian.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Chelsea have verbally agreed to sign Hakim Ziyech from Ajax in the summer after failing to land a winter signing.
The Ajax midfielder will now reportedly join the Blues ahead of the 2020/21 season for a £38million fee.
