Oshiomhole says APC will take legal action against Zamfara government

Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has said those intimidating and harassing the party’s members in Zamfara state will be sued.

In a report by The Nation, Oshiomhole on Tuesday, February 11, issued a note of warning to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other non-APC supporters in Zamfara to stop harassing members of the opposition.

The APC chairman in Abuja received a petition on the alleged harassment of APC members in Zamfara state to join the ruling PDP in the state.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a plot to remove the embattled national chairman of the APC is reportedly being hatched by state governors on the platform of the ruling party.

State governors are already considering the former governor of Zamfara state, Abdulaziz Yari, as Oshiomhole’s successor. It was alleged that some of the governors had resolved on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, to push further for the removal of Oshiomhole.

In a related development, the immediate past governor of Zamfara state boasted that the APC remains a strong party. Yari told a crowd of party members who visited him at his residence from across 14 local government in the state that the party is still intact the state.

This came after the crisis bedevilling the APC in Zamfara state when one of the chieftains, Senator Kabir Garba Marafa, distanced himself from an alleged peace meeting to resolve the row.
