Cristiano Ronaldo: Juventus would be 8th in Serie A table without Portuguese' goals

- Cristiano Ronaldo goals this season has propelled Juventus to joint-top in the Serie A table

- The Portugal international has scored 20 league goals in 20 appearances for the Bianconeri

- Ronaldo scored his tenth goal in ten consecutive matches for the Italian champions this term

Cristiano Ronaldo has continued to be a game changer for Juventus since his arrival from Real Madrid in 2018.

The 35-year-old has scored important goals for the Bianconeri this season and is currently second on the scorers chart in Serie A behind Lazio's Ciro Immobile.

On the other hand, it has been discovered that Maurizio Sarri's side would not have been joint-top in the league this season if not for the Ronaldo factor, but would be languishing in eighth position.

The Juve striker has scored 20 goals in 20 Serie A games this season and his efforts has been key to their chances of retaining the Scudetto for the ninth time.

The closest to CR7 in terms of goals are Argentine duo of Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain who both have five strikes each with Leonardo Bonucci and Miralem Pijanic notching up three respectively.

This means that out of the 44 goals Juventus have scored in the league this season, close to half of them have come from the boots of Ronaldo.

Sarri's side recently lost to Hellas verona at the weekend as Inter took over the leadership position on goal-difference after the Milan derby went in their favour.

But that did not stop Ronaldo from scoring his tenth straight goal for his club when he put them ahead in the 65th minute.

Two former Milan strikers Fabio Borini and Giampaolo Pazzini's late penalty won the match and put their side in contention for Europe next season.

With the defeat, Sarri has come under fire from his employers and it is understood Man City boss Pep Guardiola is being lined up as his replacement.
