- Zlatan Ibrahimovic once shattered Romelu Lukaku's prolific skills at Man United
- The Sweeden ace said Lukaku did not have anything to offer in terms of good technique
- Their rivalry has now been renewed in Italy, with Inter's defeat of AC Milan proving Zlatan wrong on Lukaku
Zlatan Ibrahimovic might have seen it all in Romelu Lukaku when he said Belgian forward did not have a good technique while both were at Manchester United.
But in what betrayed his opinion, Lukaku has proved beyond what the limit anybody could have placed on him in his debut season for Inter Milan.
The 27-year-old forward joined the Inter Milan in the last summer and has been incredible upfront for Antonio Conte's side.
With 17 goals and two assists, the Belgian is more than an attacker as it is only Cristiano Ronaldo and Ciro Immobile who are ahead of him on the Serie topscorer chart.
Meanwhile, Zlatan Ibrahimovic joined AC Milan in the January transfer window on a season-half deal and he has been pulling the trigger for the former Italian champions.
With their rivalry renewed, more facts have now emerged on how the towering Sweeden striker mocked Lukaku at Manchester United, saying he did not have a 'good technique.'
“I will say this on Romelu: don’t expect good technique from Lukaku, but his best strength is sheer power. If only he’d listened to me,” Zlatan said.
“I told him nothing, he would simply become a better player. For the record, he never accepted the bet! Perhaps he was afraid of losing…
"Joking aside, Lukaku has this mad hunger to prove himself to the world and I’m sure he will do well at Inter too.”
Lukaku and Ibrahimovic met in the weekend and the encounter ended in a 6-goal thriller, with Inter Milan coming from behind after 2-0 down to end the tie on 4-2 note.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has expressed anger and frustration to his side's 4-2 defeat against Inter Milan in which Antonio Conte's side came from two goals down to win the derby.
AC Milan were leading 2-0 after the first 45 minutes in which Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted the second goal before they suffered a defeat against their city rivals.
The stunning win over AC Milan also took Inter Milan to the top of the Serie A standings where they are tied on the same point with Juventus but separated on goals difference.
