Former Kaduna lawmaker Shehu Sani has blamed sycophants for refusing to tell President Muhammadu Buhari the truth.
Sani was reacting to the killing of 30 Nigerians by the Boko Haram terrorists in Maiduguri, Borno state.
The outspoken senator said those who are privileged to meet the president preferred to hail him instead of being honest about the state of things.
"We shouldn’t all blame the president for the escalation of Banditry and kidnappings because the leaders privileged to meet him were afraid of telling him the truth that hurts & preferred to say “Ranka ya dade muna godiya da kokarin da kake yi,wallahi komai dai dai ne,ba matsala” he wrote on Twitter.

Legit.ng reported that the president renewed the pledge on Monday, February 10, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, at a high-level breakfast dialogue whose focus was to "stop the war on children affected by armed conflicts, dividend of silencing the guns,’’ a side event during the 33rd AU summit.
This was revealed in a statement issued by the senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Garba Shehu, in the evening of Monday, February 10.
The programme was co-sponsored by the governments of Nigeria, Uganda and Norway, the AU Commission and Save the Children.
