Barcelona came from one goal down to beat Real Betis 3-2 in a high-tempo Spanish League clash at the Benito Villamarin Arena.
It was the first time Quique Setien would return to his former club since he was named the Catalan boss last month.
This victory also helped the Camp Nou outfit reduce Real Madrid's lead to three points on the La Liga table after matchday 23.
Nabil Fekir handed the hosts the lead through the spot just six minutes into the encounter after Clement Lenglet was caught handling the ball in his own danger zone.
The Frenchman carefully converted the penalty sending Marc-Andre Ter Stegen the wrong way to give his side the lead.
Both sides continued to attack with either side searching for more goals having got the game started on a high.
But it took the visitors just three minutes after conceding to equalise with Frenkie De Jong putting up a stunning performance to level up for the away team.

The Dutchman ran into space to connect with a superb long-range pass from Lionel Messi which he chested down before powering a low but unstoppable shot past Joel Robles in the 9th minute.
Just four minutes before the half-hour mark, Fekir completed his brace with a powerful shot from about 25 yards as the home team regain leadership in the meeting.
He benefited from a poor play from Arturo Vidal, made a solo run into the opponent's goal area and launched the thunderbolt shot inn the 26th minute.
The game got more intense with both sides trying to outshine each other with technical and tactical contributions from the managers.
And again, the Catalans found their way back into the game after Sergio Busquets grabbed his side's equaliser on the half-time mark after tapping into the net from a scramble in the box.
It was another masterclass cross from Messi that got Betis gasping for confidence in their own 18-yard box as they failed to clear the imminent danger out but allowed the Spaniard smashed the ball into the net in the 45th minute.
Clement Lenglet sealed the win for Barca and for the third time in the same game, Messi provided the assist as they took the lead for the first time in the game in the 72nd minute.
Seven minutes after, Lenglet was shown red card after bagging his second yellow of the night - just three minutes after Fekir was handed a marching order.
Barcelona, however, remain second on the La Liga table with 49 points after 23 matches - three shy of Real Madrid after the same number of games.
