Isco scored his first goal of the season as La Liga leaders Real Madrid came from a goal down to win Osasuna 4-1 at El Sadar on Sunday, February 9.
Unai Garcia gave the host the lead from Ruben Garcia assist but Real Madrid fought back with two goals in five minutes from Isco and Sergio Ramos to take a 2-1 lead into the break at half time.
Isco produced a smart finish in the 33rd minute to get Real Madrid equalizer and it was his first goal of the season.
Sergio Ramos gave Madrid the lead in the 38th minute after finishing an excellent pass from Casemiro.
At the start of the second half, Osasuna pressed forward to get an equalizer but Zinedine Zidane's men consolidated their lead after substitute Lucas Vasquez benefitted from Karim Benzema's unselfish 84th-minute pass to grabbed Madrid's third goal.
Summer signing Luka Jovic put the game to bed in the second minute of stoppage time as promising midfielder Fede Valverde was played through on goal and the Uruguayan decided to pass the ball to him inside the box.
The 22-year-old striker fired the ball into the top corner with a superb left-footed half-volley to extend Real Madrid's lead to 4-1.
Real Madrid have now opened a six points lead at the top of the La Liga table over rivals Barcelona as they move up to 52 points, six better than Barcelona who face Real Betis later tonight.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala scored a brace as Barcelona walloped Real Sociedad 10-1 to win the inaugural edition of the Women's Spanish Supercopa in Salamanca on Sunday, February 9.
Oshoala’s goals came in the 35th and 51st minute in between an Alexia Putellas’s brace and a goal each from Caroline Graham Hansen and Candela Andujar.
Right-back Marta Torrejon stole the show in a one-sided affair as he scored four goals in the game.
