APC raises alarm, alleges Governor Dickson plans to loot Bayelsa state properties

Legit.ng reported that EFCC in recent times convicted some members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) who were former governors.

Contrary to the belief that the anti-graft agency was witch-hunting members of the opposition party, the conviction of the former governor of Plateau state, Joshua Dariye, who was a serving APC senator when he was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment, proved the EFCC to be apolitical.

The convictions of the former governor of Abia state and Senate chief whip, Orji Uzor Kalu to 12-year imprisonment over N7.6bn fraud and the ex-governor of Taraba state, Jolly Nyame, to 12-year imprisonment also indicated that President Muhammadu Buhari's anti-corruption war is holistic.

Legit.ng had also reported that the Supreme Court upheld the judgment of the Court of Appeal which affirmed the conviction of Nyame and handed him 12-year imprisonment.
