Daily Trust reports that Mohammed defected from the PDP officially by withdrawing his membership from the party.

It was gathered that Mohammed in a letter written to the PDP chairman in Nasarawa local government central ward said he ceases to be a member of the party anymore.

Mohammed had represented the Nasarawa state constituency at the NSHA.

He was the speaker in the third and fourth Assemblies in the state respectively.

Reacting to the defection of the former lawmaker, the incumbent speaker of the NSHA, Balarabe Abdullahi, said the APC family welcomes Mohammed to its fold.

Also, the chairman of the Nasarawa local government, Sani Otto, called on the former Speaker to contribute towards the development of the party and Nigeria in general.
