- Lautaro Martinez is one of the best forwards in top five European Leagues so far this season
- The Argentine has netted 16 goals across competitions for Inter Milan under Antonio Conte
- Chelsea are monitoring the player with the aim of luring him to the Stamford Bridge this summer
- But they will battle Manchester United for the signature of the prolific forward in the coming months
Chelsea are reportedly planning to lure Inter Milan in form striker Lautaro Martinez to the Premier League at the end of this season.
The Blues who are yet to sign any quality player since the arrival of Frank Lampard last summer have concluded plans to offer the Serie A side a player addition with cash for the forward.
Meanwhile, the London club will have to battle Manchester United who are still rebuilding their team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Old Trafford outfit signed Nigerian star Odion Ighalo to improve their attack on a short term deal and as back up for injured Marcus Rashford.
While Bruno Fernandes came in from Sporting Lisbon to add quality to their midfield with Paul Pogba's future tet to be decided.
According to SunSport the 22-year-old has attracted attention to himself due to impressive season for the San Siro outfit having scored 16 goals across competitions.
Italian news platform Calciomercato claims Frank Lampard has made the Argentine his latest target should he fail to secure the signature of Lyon star Moussa Dembele.
Chelsea according to the publication are willing to make a deal with their former boss Antonio Conte to include either Emerson Palmieri or Marcos Alonso in the deal to land Martinez.
Man United, on the other hand, have been monitoring the forward but the £94 million release clause in his deal seems to be pushing them away.
Although, reports from Old Trafford reveal the Red Devils might be willing to allow Pogba move to the San Siro while Martinez move the other way as reported by Daily Star.
Meanwhile, Martinez was quoted to have said that he is happy at his present club, adding that he will continue to step up his game at every given opportunity.
