- Paul Pogba has widely been tipped to leave Man United in the summer and he is not part of the squad for the winter break
- The Frenchman is said to have informed United teammates of his exit plans
- Juventus and Real Madrid are among the top clubs that could sign the embattled midfielder
Paul Pogba could be headed for his sunset days at Man United after he was reportedly axed from the squad preparing for a trip to Spain for the winter break.
United are headed out to Marbella for a warm weather camp during their Premier League winter break as they prepare for their clash against Chelsea.
But according to SunSport citing Mail Online, Pogba has not joined the rest of the squad after being asked to stay away.
The Frenchman is currently out injured and has taken longer to resume action than initially anticipated.
Six weeks ago, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer divulged the midfielder would only be sidelined for "three to four weeks" with an ankle problem but he is yet to return to the team.
It is believed Solskjaer is unwilling to let him link up with the rest of the squad, throwing his Old Trafford future into uncertainty.
Reports indicate the United hierarchy is already fed up with the World Cup-winning star and are ready to offload him in the summer.
The 26-year-old will not be short of potential suitors, with Real Madrid and Juventus keen on his services.
However, new signing Odion Ighalo is part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s travelling squad.
Ighalo will hope to use the opportunity to get used to his new team-mates and work on his fitness during the winter break.
Man United face rivals Chelsea on February 17 at Stamford Bridge in a big Premier League encounter.
Both teams met in the first game of the season in August 2019 with Man United recording an emphatic 4-0 win against Chelsea in Frank Lampard's first Premier League game as Blues manager.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that former Man United coach Rene Meulensteen believes club flop this season Jesse Lingard will come out good amid criticism from fans and pundits as he compares him to Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta.
Lingard has endured a difficult spell at United in recent months that saw him score just two goals in 32 matches.
The midfielder for more than a year has failed to score in the Premier League as his last goal came in his side's 5-1 win over Cardiff City in December 2018 when he scored a brace.
