Shehu Sani reacts to report on police neutralisation of 250 Ansaru bandits in Kaduna

- The report of police neutralisation of Ansaru bandits in Kaduna has been received in various ways

- Shehu Sani has said that the police should show proof of killing 250 bandits

- The former lawmaker said that this is necessary because, according to him, Nigerians need evidence to believe any report

Shehu Sani, a former senator representing Kaduna Central, has reacted to reports on the neutralisation of Ansaru bandits in the state by the police.

On his Twitter page on Thursday, February 6, Shehu Sani called on the police to show proof of the feat in their recent operation.

The former lawmaker said that doing this is important because for most Nigerians, evidence is the only condition for trust and belief.

However, the remarks and comments by Sani have triggered some reactions from Nigerians on social media.

One Twitter subscriber by the name Kabiru Usman Misali, said that it is a shame that Sani is only politicising the issue.

Legit.ng gathered that the operatives invaded the camp of the Ansaru terror group in Kuduru Forest, Birnin Gwari, Kaduna state and killed over 250 members of the group.

The operation was conducted following intelligence which linked the camp elements with the series of violence across the country.
