Manchester United fans have given Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo to score at least 15 goals for the Red Devils this season after signing six-month contract deal at Old Trafford.

Odion Ighalo will be at Manchester United until the end of the ongoing Premier League season in which the club's chiefs can extend his contract if he impresses.

He was in China when Manchester United announced his signing and had to travel to England the next day to join his new teammates at Old Trafford.

And when he got to England and had his first interview with Manchester United media team, Odion Ighalo stated emphatically that joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side is a dream come true.

Ighalo explained that he never thought he can get the chance to play for the Old Trafford landlords despite loving the club since he was young.

Then, the former Udinese striker used to wear Manchester United jersey around on the streets in Nigeria with his friends.

Marcus Rashford's injury made Manchester United chiefs to enter the transfer market and bring Odion Ighalo to Old Trafford on the deadline day.

United fans who are happy to see him training at Old Trafford have now challenged Odion to make sure he score atleast 15 goals in his six month stay.

According to the report on Daily Star UK, some Manchester United fans said collectively that Odion Ighalo should try and give them 15 and more goals this term.

Last term, the Red Devils failed to qualify for the Champions League, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under pressure to qualify for next term's championship.

There are even reports that the Norwegian could be sacked if Manchester United fail to make the top four at the end of the current campaign.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Nigerian football star Odion Ighalo took to social media to share superb photo of his first visit to Old Trafford seven years ago to watch Manchester United game.

He has been a Manchester United fan since when he was young as it can been seen of how he used to wear the club's jersey on the streets when he was a kid.
