Man United have joined the list of top European clubs to have made their interest in signing Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
The 32-year-old has been rumoured to stage a walk out on the Camp Nou outfit after being unsettled with the club in recent weeks.
It is understood that the Argentine captain has been linked with a reunion with former boss Pep Guardiola but the Premier League champions do not expect Messi to leave the La Liga giants.
Inter Milan, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have all made their interest known in the signing of the footballing genius.
But Italian news media outlet Corriere dello Sport claims Man United have entered the race to sign the six-time Ballon d'Or winner.
Messi was recently involved in a social media bust-up with Barcelona's Sporting Director Eric Abidal after the Frenhman criticized the player's work ethic when Enersto Valverde was boss.
"Those in charge of sporting direction should also face up to their responsibilities and above all take charge of their own decisions.
“When you talk about players you should give names, otherwise you are tainting everyone’s name and feeding rumours which are not true,” Messi responded.
