Two corps members who met at NYSC orientation camp set to marry

- The couple, Mohammed Alhaji-Musa and Hauwa Yahaya-Bagudu, met each other during their service year at the NYSC Kano camp

- Both of them are set to tie the knot soon to the joy of many

The one-year compulsory scheme for Nigerian undergraduates, NYSC, is an avenue where people from different parts of the country assemble at various camps for three weeks, then proceed to serve the country for the rest of the year at different organisations.

Many people embark on NYSC for different reasons and one of it includes the chance to meet the love of their lives.

Legit.ng has come across the report of two corps members who met at the NYSC camp and are set to get married soon.

According to Vanguard, Mohammed Alhaji-Musa met Hauwa Yahaya-Bagudu during the compulsory three weeks camp and they got attracted to each other before starting their relationship.

Mohammed explained during the interview that he met Hauwa when they were on kitchen duty at the camp. He said that he fell in love with her after noticing her kindness and respect to people.

He said: “We met in camp during our platoon activities, especially the day we met during our platoon duty in the kitchen.

“I was initially attracted by her way of life, kindness and respect to people which I noticed during our stay in camp, therefore I really fall in love with her.

“It is a wonderful experience because in the first place, my intention was to serve in Abuja, but when my posting came out I was posted to Kano, I accepted in good fate not knowing that this is what will happen”.

Hauwa, on the other hand, explained that she also did not want to serve in Kano but that it has become the source of her good fortune.

In other news, Legit.ng reported that some aggrieved corps members exposed a corporate beggar fond of begging them for money.

A member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) identified as Kevin Wabara on the photo-sharing app, Instagram, has called out a corporate beggar fond of exploiting corps members around the Wuse area in Abuja.

According to the NYSC member, the individual is fond of asking other corps members around the area to give him N200 for transport.
