Odion Ighalo has described his Manchester United move as a dream come true after his unveiling at Old Trafford on Tuesday, February 4

The obviously delighted striker could not curtail his feeling as he was given a special welcome to Old Trafford.

In his first interview with United press crew, the Nigerian striker lifted the lids about his ''love affair" with the Premier League side, saying he grew up admiring Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side in his Ajegunle slum.

"When we were young back then in Nigerian we used to watch the Premier League on TV when the likes of Andrew Cole.

"People supported Man United back then in Nigeria. we watched Man United back then in Nigeria.

"I developed love (for Man United) because all my siblings are Man United fans. I never thought this move would happen.

"But like I say dreams do come true. I am very happy to be here. It is going to be a big and good challenge for me in my career."

Ighalo joined Man United on a January transfer deadline day after agreeing to terms with the Old Trafford outfits, albeit without no option of purchase at the end of the season

The 30-year-old AFCON Golden boot winner signed for the Premier League outfits till the end of the season, becoming the first football star from Nigeria to don United jersey.

United were reported to have paid a loan fee between £2 million and £4 million for Shanghai Shenhua.
