Nigerian football star Moses Simon was on target for his French League side Nantes in their 2-1 defeat to the table-toppers Paris Saint Germain on Tuesday night.

The Super Eagles forward reduced his side's deficit in the 68th minute having two goals earlier in the game.

Moses made a solo run from the center field towards PSG's danger zone and creatively dispatched Thilo Kehrer who tried to dispossess him of the ball before putting the ball into the back of the net.

The 24-year-old winger has now been responsible for nine Ligue 1 goals this campaign - scoring four times and assisting five others.

Mauro Icardi opened scoring for the defending champions in the 28th minute with Angel Di Maria credited with the assist.

Thilo Kehrer doubled his side's lead 12 minutes into the second half as they looked to run-off with a clean sheet at the end of the game.

But the Nigerian born star powered home a superb goal but it was not enough to help them avoid a defeat in front of their home fans.

Meanwhile, Simon has scored a total of eight goals across all competitions for Nantes this campaign, and with so many matches to go, and could hit a double-figure in the end.

Legit.ng earlier reported Moses Simon scored his seventh goal of the season following Nantes 3-2 defeat to Rennes in an early Ligue 1 fixture played on Friday, January 31, 2020.
