Security: South East governors not sincere on regional outfit says Ohanaeze

- South-East governors are not sincere about the region's security out says Ohanaeze

- The group also accused the governors of selfishness

- Going further, the governors were advised to work with Ohanaeze youths on issues of security in the region

The security outfit proposed by South East governors will fail, the youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has declared.

According to the group, the special outfit will fail if the governors failed to involve Igbo youths.

Recall that Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Umahi who is also the chairman of the Forum had recently revealed that a security outfit would soon be unveiled.

The group while reacting to the development accused the governors of insincerity.

According to the National President of Ohanaeze youths, Chief Arthur Obiora, some of the governors are working for their selfish political interests.

Meanwhile, had reported that a security body in the design of the now controversial Amotekun in the south west is set to be inaugurated in the south east, the governor of Ebonyi state, Dave Umahi, has hinted.

Umahi said the creation of the outfit is at the end stage of planning to ensure it kicks off with effective operation.

Umahi, who chairs the south east governors’ forum, said this on Wednesday, January 29, when he met with Major General Lasisi Adegboye, the General Officer Commanding 82 Division of the Nigerian Army. ( - We have upgraded to serve you better.
