The economic situation in Nigeria is no doubt one that has many people cringing and complaining. Despite that, a number of people have decided not to sit back and just complain but to also make bold steps that might change their lives for the better.
In October 2019, a young man on Twitter identified as Farouq Osuolale, took to his page to share photos of new logos he re-created for popular made in Nigeria car brand, Innoson Motors.
Farouq was hoping to get the attention of the company and he did. Many Nigerians were impressed by the young man’s talent and how he was able to see an opportunity and seize it.
A number of Nigerians vouched for him as they shared his post and called the attention of Innoson motors to it. Well, Farouq has now met with the chairman of the company.
In new tweets, the young man explained that he has learned new things after meeting with the chairman and that he was well compensated for his work.
He however added that the logo will not be used at the moment because a lot of things have to work out first. Farouq was however well received at the company and his efforts were appreciated.
Farouq wrote: “The chairman commended me for a job well done on the logo. However, he mentioned that he won't be using the logo now. He explained that this is because a rebrand is going to be a costly project for a manufacturing company like Innoson.
Stating the factors, it's quite understandable why. A rebrand will surely be of significant effect and can only be done if a specific target can be met *which is why the company needs every Nigerians' support*.
Not to leave out the fact that I was well-compensated, and he encouraged me to keep working, doing what I do best - Branding.”
