Odion Ighalo has been backed by former Man United legend Mark Bosnich following a deadline day move to Old Trafford.
The transfer has generated lots of reactions from former Red Devils' stars and fans, but the former Australian goalkeeper has made his claim regarding the move.
Ighalo was second top scorer in the Chinese league and top marksman at the 2019 AFCON tournament in Egypt.
And United Ole Gunar Solskjaer believes the Nigerian striker will take the world by storm same way club legend Eric Cantona did many years back.
"This was an emergency signing.
"I can understand a lot of people taking about a scatter gun approach, well it had to be with
"The boy that’s come in (Ighalo) has got nothing to lose, nobody expects anything unbelievable from him but they definitely needed somebody in that position.
"You never know. A long, long time ago Man United signed a certain Frenchman (Eric Cantona) who no one really expected much from and he ended up propelling them to one of their most successful seasons of all time," Bosnich told Sky Sports.

Legit.ng also reported that Odion Ighalo has arrived Manchester from Shanghai after making a winter move from his Chinese Super League club on deadline day.
Much has been said about the Nigerian striker from players and fans since the ex- Watford star signed a six month loan move to Old Trafford.
The 31-year-old traveled for almost 16 hours from his base in China to arrive at the airport and he was caught up with a journalist.
