A Nigerian On-Air Personality, Fola Folayan, has taken to social media to spark numerous reactions after her series of tweets about why mainstream female entertainers in Nigeria will never be feminists.
According to her, the entertainment industry is not built in a way that favours these women as they have to 'pander to these men to get opportunities as the real decision makers'.
Fola went further to claim that a good number of these female entertainers are sleeping with their managers. According to her, these managers control what they wear, the content of their music and how they speak in public.

She went further to solidify her claim that these women hardly speak on real issues affecting their fans.
She made her point with an example of how no female entertainer has spoken out about the recent okada ban by the Lagos state government.
In her words: "Of what use is your voice when you can shake your yansh for the highest corporate bidders? Leave gender equality issues for a minute, have you ever seen your female A listers engage the people that claim are their fans on real issues affecting them? Okada ban, social media bill?"

Her post comes shortly after singer Teni's recent post on feminism and wedding proposals.
The feminism movement remains one of the most controversial movements in society. While some people believe in equal rights for both genders, there are some who don't believe this should be so.
Teni appears to have gotten into the bad books of Nigerian feminists, following her recent post on Twitter. In a single tweet, Teni tackled feminism by saying women want to be feminist until it is time to propose to a man.
She tweeted: “Y’all are feminists till it’s time to bend on one knee to ask a man to marry you! Aren’t we equal? Btw it’s not wrong for a woman to propose to her man!”
