US visa ban: Pastor Adeboye prays for restoration of Nigeria

- Pastor Enoch Adeboye has reacted to the visa ban on Nigerians by US

- In his prayer on Sunday, February 2, called on God to totally restore Nigeria to its rightful place

- The cleric also pleaded that God should expose all evil doers whose harmful activities are disturbing the country

It is obvious that Pastor Enoch Adeboye of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is becoming more outspoken about happenings in Nigeria as he has reacted to the recent visa ban placed on Nigerians by the United States (US).

Responding to the rather disturbing development on Sunday, February 2, Pastor Adeboye, during the church's monthly Thanksgiving Service held in Ebute Meta, Lagos, prayed for the restoration of Nigeria, Vanguard reports.

In his prayer, the cleric pleaded that God should reveal, through his divine light, those who are troubling the country with their hurtful crimes of violence.

He pleaded: “Some countries have banned Nigerians from coming into their territories. We pray for the restoration of our nation. Lord, have mercy on Nigeria. Let there be peace and security in Nigeria.

“It is written that if my people who are called by my name can humble themselves and call on me, I will heal their land.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that a former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar had expressed sadness over the US immigration visa ban on Nigeria.

It came as a surprise to many when on Friday, January 31, report surfaced that the administration of President Donald Trump had imposed a visa ban on Nigeria. Other countries affected by the ban were Eritrea, Sudan, Tanzania, Kyrgyzstan and Myanmar.

Reacting to the ban in a series of tweet, Atiku said it was a sad thing. He urged President Trump to consider the history of US-Nigerian relationships.

He called on the administration of Trump to consider the role Nigeria played in partnership with the US, in bringing peace to Liberia which now enjoys democracy.

According to him, Nigerians love the United States and have been a major force for the positive development of the nation.

He said the US stands to benefit if it allows open borders with a country like Nigeria. Atiku said the President Buhari-led administration may have its deficiencies, but Nigerians do not deserve to be punished for it.
