Manchester United have completed the signing of 20-year-old goalkeeper Nathan Bishop for an undisclosed fee from lower League side Southend.

Nathan Bishop has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the Old Trafford landlords in what is a dream move for the young goalkeeper.

He has made 17 appearances this season in the League One for Southend before joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

Bishop has played total of 12 games for Southend in League One and he has conceded 37 goals which is not a good one for a young goalkeeper.

After joining Manchester United, he thanked Southend for the chance they gave him and promised to do well at Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Nathan Bishop will begin his career at Manchester United with the Under 23 side and his performances there will determine if he would be transfer to the main team.

David De Gea is the current number one goalkeeper at Manchester United and he has Sergio Romero and Lee Grant as cover ups.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently occupying fifth position on the Premier League standings with 34 points after 24 games played so far.

The Portuguese midfielder successfully completed his medical when he flew from Lisbon to Manchester.

He has been pictured in Manchester United kit for the first time and has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract to complete his £68m transfer.
