Bovi reacts after being compared to Bishop Oyedepo over US visa drama

Popular Nigerian comic act Abovi Igbomma professionally known as Bovi is currently among the trending topics on microblogging platform Twitter.

The comedian became a topic of discussion following an incident that allegedly happened at the Lagos office of the United States embassy.

According to viral reports on social media, the popular man of God and founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide also known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedopo, was allegedly denied visa at the same time Bovi was trying to obtain the travelling document.

The twist in the story was that while Oyedepo was denied, the comedian was granted visa.

After the news broke on social media, several Nigerians resorted to making a comparison between the man of God and the entertainer.

Shortly after, the comedian took to his official Twitter page to deny reports that he and his wife ever stepped foot at the embassy.

Bovi made it clear that he never stepped foot at the embassy.

"I was not at the embassy. Neither was my wife. Story about us is entirely false. And the use of the word 'luck' or 'lucky' with getting a visa is annoying," he tweeted.

Meanwhile, previously reported that Bovi joined millions of heartbroken fans across the world that have mourned the unfortunate demise of American professional basketball player, Kobe Bryant.

The ever jovial comedian seemed to have been terribly hurt by the news as he noted that the deceased sportsman had an influence on his life during his formative years.
