Hakim Ziyech, Ajax Amsterdam superstar has emerged surprise transfer target for Chelsea boss Frank Lampard this month.
The 26-year-old Moroccan attracted attention from top European coaches after helping the Dutch club reach the semifinal of Champions League last term.
He was instrumental to their triumph in the Eredivisie and also the league cup at the end of the 2019-19 campaign.
Reports claim Ziyech has been informed he can leave the club despite extending his stay until 2022. His release clause is also said to have been expunged from his new contract.
But according to SunSport, he will only be allowed to leave if they (Ajax) get the right price for the player before the end of this month.
ESPN also claims that Ziyech and Leicester City star Ben Chilwell are major targets for Blues boss Frank Lampard.
Meanwhile, Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain are also interested in the Moroccan who could be available for about £42.5 million.
Arsenal are another Premier League club monitoring Ziyech's situation as they also want the attacker at the Emirates Stadium.
The Sun reports that a previous chat with former Ajax teammate Justin Kluivert, Ziyech was asked which clubs he'd like to play for in the future.

The Moroccan has scored eight goals and 18 assists in all competitions so far this season and impressed again in the Champions League, facing off against Chelsea twice in the group stage.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Chelsea outcast, Olivier Giroud, has emerged a transfer target for Tottenham as the North London side is desperately in need of a potential temporary replacement for injured Harry Kane.
Kane got injured and has been officially ruled out of action till April. He was lined up for action during Spurs' 1-0 Premier League defeat to Southampton at St Mary but was immediately subbed after being hit with a hamstring injury.
With Jose Mourinho's side lacking in depth upfront, Spurs have made a contact with Chelsea over the purchase of the Frenchman.
Giroud was instrumental to Chelsea's Europa League win last season under former manager Maurizio Sarri but has fallen in rank under Frank Lampard, with the Chelsea boss preferring Tammy Abraham upfront.
