Manchester United are hopeful of completing the signing of Nathan Bishop before the winter transfer window shuts a couple of days from now.
The Red Devils want the 20-year-old goalkeeper as back up for David De Gea and they are already in talks with his present club Southend United.
United remain six points behind Chelsea on the Premier League table after 24 rounds of fixtures and they must turn their fortunes if they have to play in the Champions League next season.

Reports claim some quarters believe Dean Henderson who is on loan at Sheffield United is a target for United.

Bishop has made just one appearance for the England U20 national team and will be hoping to break into the Three Lions squad under Gareth Southgate.
