It is doubt that the Nigerian economy has become difficult for people, both employed and unemployed. It comes as no surprise that the burden of catering for one's family often lies on young people.

Twitter user, David Hundeyin, recently left many people in shock after he revealed how he once employed a 22-year-old on a salary of N85,000. He soon later found out that she was the breadwinner of her family.

He narrated: "Before I stopped employing people last year, I had a 22-year-old PA who basically became her family's main breadwinner because of the N85,000 salary I was paying her. I mean paying her sister's tuition fees and accommodation at RSUST, dropping food money at home etc.

He said her folks did not believe the job offer was real at first and every time he paid her salary, her mom would call to pray for him.

According to him, she told him how she used to alternately visit some friends once a day so she could eat when she was in university and how she would sometimes just lie down hungry and go to bed crying.
