APC’s manifesto was drafted in Pat Utomi’s house - Osinbajo

The manifesto of the All Progressives Congress (APC), according to the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, was written in 2014 at the residence of Pat Utomi, a one-time presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Mega Party (SDMP).
A statement released by Laolu Akande, Osinbajo's senior special adviser on media and publicity, said that the vice president met with one Wale Edun and drafted the manifesto in 2014, PM News reports.
The statement also revealed that the team included social safety initiative that will look into measures that will foster economic empowerment in the country.

Akande, quoting Osinbajo in the statement said: “In 2014, Wale Edun, Prof. Pat Utomi and I met at Pat’s home to write portions of the manifesto of the APC.
"We all agreed that a fundamental pillar of our party’s plans must be to create a social safety net for the people. We were convinced that the government owed a duty to the poor, the weak, the vulnerable and those who cannot work."

The vice president said that social safety nets contained in the party's manifesto are not acts of sovereign kindness but that they are a sovereign obligation.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the court had been asked to make an order to mandate the president, the vice president and the governors of the 36 states across the country to publish their assets in the public domain.
The request was made in a suit filed by the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
SERAP in its suit also prayed the court to order deputy governors of the 36 states to make public details of their assets, specifically property and income, contained in their asset declaration forms submitted to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) since assuming office.
In the suit number FHC/ABJ/CS/65/2020 filed last Friday, SERAP was seeking: “an order for leave to apply for judicial review and an order of mandamus to direct and/or compel President Buhari, Vice-President Osinbajo, 36 state governors and their deputies to make public their summary of assets; disclose whether they have had any reason to review and update their asset declarations submitted to the CCB and if the declarations have been made as constitutionally and statutorily required.”
