David de Gea jokingly sent a provocative message to Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero when both players crossed paths at an Italian restaurant.
The Manchester United shot-stopper brought out his middle finger as he taunted his former Atletico Madrid teammate in Hale Village, Cheshire.
The two stars will be at opposing ends when the two Manchester clubs clash in the second leg semi final clash of the Carabao Cup at the Etihad in midweek.
But the Spaniard has proven that there are no hard feeling ahead of the Manchester showdown in the League Cup game.
The duo played together with Atletico in La Liga from 2009 to 2011 before joining two of the biggest Premier League clubs in England.
De Gea gave the former Independiente star a cheeky two-finger salute as he spotted him sitting inside of Cibo Restaurant.
The Manchester City record goal scorer previously revealed that he has stayed in close contact with De Gea since they both switched to Manchester in 2011.
He said: "I hang out a lot with David because we played together for Atletico Madrid.
"We have a good relationship from Atletico. But now he plays for United and I play for City."
De Gea was spotted wearing hooded top and hat as he also came in close contact with United teammate Marcos Rojo alongside his wife in the village.
The 29-year-old enjoyed was left out of the Red Devils' that thrashed Tranmere in a 4th Round FA Cup tie last weekend.
United now face the winner of Northampton and Derby County in the 5th Round of the oldest Cup competition in football.
