Nigerians react as Burna Boy misses out on Grammy Awards

The highly anticipated 2020 edition of the Grammy Awards finally went down on Sunday, January 26, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Unfortunately, the hopes of many Nigerians who have been looking out for the award ceremony got dashed, as the only Nigerian, Burna Boy, who got nominated for the World Best Music Album category did not bring home the plaque.

However, it sufficed for many when a fellow African singer, Angelique Kidjo, who was nominated in the same category, was announced as the winner.

Recall that Legit.ng previously reported that during her acceptance speech, Kidjo dedicated the award to Burna Boy, who has openly declared his love for her music on several occasions.
