An emerging result from a second election conducted in Bauchi to fill a seat in the House of Representatives shows that the All Progressives Congress has been defeated again.
The hope of the ruling party in Nigeria was depleted by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which is in charge of government in Bauchi.
Nigeria's election body, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), declared the result of the poll in favour of Ahmad Madaki Gololo.
As it is, therefore, Gogolo, who scored 21,223 votes, will now be representing Gamawa federal constituency at the green chamber of the National Assembly.

The announcement of the result was made by Abubakar Mohammed on behalf of INEC.
Mohammed said Isa Mohammad Wabu of NNPP polled 15,004 votes.
Legit.ng earlier noted that the APC was trounced in another supplementary election conducted by INEC in Bauchi for the lower chamber of the National Assembly.
The party was defeated by the ruling PDP in the state as its candidate, Hon Auwal Jatau, was announced victorious at the poll which was carried out on Saturday, January 25, for the Zaki federal constituency.
Meanwhile, the APC is reported to have suffered a defeat in Kaduna state where it is in charge of government.
The party lost a House of Assembly seat to to the rival PDP in the state governed by Nasir El-Rufai
