- Kelechi Iheanacho fires Leicester City to FA Cup victory at Griffin Park
- The Nigerian star scored the only goal of the match in the 4th minute of the clash
- Iheanacho increased his goal tally to seven across all competitions this campaign
Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho has continued his goals scoring form after netting in Leicester City's FA Cup at Griffin Park.
The 23-year-old needed just four minutes to fire the Foxes ahead against Brentford after connecting with a pass from right-back James Justin.
Christian Fuchs started the build-up from the left-back position after locating Dennis Praet in the middle who sent the ball down the flanks before the 21-year-old made that precise pass.
Iheanacho made no mistake burying the ball into the net after tapping the ball into the back of the net.
His goal against the lower league side took his tally for the season to seven across competitions and with Jamie Vardy out injured, he has more chance to score more.
The former Manchester City star will now be hoping he can seal regular starting spot in the Brendan Rodgers team.
He will also be eyeing a return to the Super Eagles squad after being snubbed from the national team for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations championship in Egypt.

Iheanacho will be hoping his recent goalscoring form will help him reclaim his spot in the Super Eagles squad.
The forward has eight goals in 23 appearances for Nigeria and was part of the team that got knocked out of the 2018 FIFA World Cup at the group stage in Russia.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigerian football star Kelechi Iheanacho showed once again why he deserves the first-team spot at Leicester after coming on in the second half to score a crucial goal for his side.
The 23-year-old scored the only goal that helped the Foxes avoid outright defeat in the first leg of their EFL Cup semifinal clash against Aston Villa at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday night.
Barely five minutes after replacing Ayoze Perez, the former Manchester City fired home a calmly but well placed shot from close range to level parity for the home team.
