Belgium international Romelu Lukaku has explained how he was slammed in front of other teammates by Inter Milan gaffer Antonio Conte after a Champions League encounter.
In September 2019, Inter Milan were forced to a 1-1 draw by Slavia Prague in Champions League in which Antonio Conte's men escaped defeat at the death.
This game was played just a month after Romelu Lukaku joined Inter Milan from Manchester United, and he failed to impress the former Chelsea boss in the tie.
Slavia Prague's goal was scored by Nigerian Peter Olayinka who thought he had won the match for his side only for Nicolo Barella to score the equalizer for Inter Milan.
Romelu Lukaku played full 90 minutes in this Champions League encounter, but Antonio Conte was disappointed with his performance for the San Siro side.
The former Everton striker stated that he was scolded by Antonio Conte who warned him that he would remove him next time if he does not improve on his game.
The striker also made it clear that he has never been talked to the way Conte did.
''It had never really happened to me [in my career]. It had never happened.
''He was telling me that I was really trash and that he would take me off after five minutes if I would have done it again,'' Romelu Lukaku explained according to the report on Daily Mail.
Lukaku added that Antonio Conte's lashes towards him boosted his confidence for the next game for Inter Milan which he scored.
He went on to score against AC Milan in the derby in which Antonio Conte was full of praise for him afterwards.
So far this season, Romelu Lukaku has been impressive for Inter Milan scoring 18 goals so far in all competitions as they pile pressure on Juventus on the Serie A table.
Juventus are topping the Serie A standings with 51 points after 20 games, while Inter Milan are occupying second position with 47 points.
