Reigning Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona have joined Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan in the race to sign Tottenham attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen.
The 27-year-old Danish professional footballer has been linked with a move to Inter Milan since the start of the ongoing season in Europe.
His current contract at Tottenham will expire this summer and Christian Eriksen is free to sign a pre contract with any non English club before moving at the end of the season.
According to the report on UK Sun, Christian Eriksen wants a move away from Tottenham before the transfer window closes in January.
The report added that Inter Milan have also been told by Spurs' chiefs that they can only allow Christian Eriksen to leave the club if they can pay £15 million this month.
But it is not yet sure if Inter Milan will want to pay such amount for Eriksen after recently signing Nigerian Victor Moses on loan from Chelsea.
And that will give Barcelona the chance to possibly lure the 27-year-old to the Camp Nou.
Although, Christian Eriksen is said to be interested in joining his dream club Real Madrid, but Los Blancos chiefs are not looking at his direction.
Spurs boss Jose Mourinho has enjoined Christian Eriksen to sign a new deal at the club stressing the the fans should respect any decision he makes.
Mourinho and his wards are placed sixth on the Premier League standings, and the Portuguese has the mandate to finish among the top four.
Meanwhile, Barcelona have also been linked with a move to sign Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud as they are looking for a replacement for Luis Suarez.
The former Liverpool striker is currently out of action for four months and Catalans are planning to sign Giroud should they fail to land Rodrigo.
After being relegated to third choice striker at Chelsea, Olivier Giroud is also considering leaving the Stamford Bridge.
