Gabriel Martinelli, sensational Arsenal teenager, has reportedly emerged a £50 million transfer target for Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The 18-year-old attacker has been in stellar form for the Premier League side since bursting into Mikel Arteta's first team squad.

The Brazilian was handed a lovely start in Arsenal game against Sheffield United in place of suspended Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who saw red in Crystal Palace tie.

He justified Arteta's confidence in him with a brilliant 45th minute goal that almost gave Gunners a 3-point victory on Saturday night, January 18.

The young prodigy was more than an attacker for Arsenal against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge as he handed Gunners a stunning equaliser in the 63rd minute after Jorginho had put Blues on lead through a 28th minute penalty kick.

Martinelli, who now has 10 goals in 21 appearances for Arsenal, has now become a top target for Real Madrid who are ready to lure the young Brazilian to Santiago Bernabéu Stadium at all cost.

According to the Daily Mail, Zinedine Zidane is interested in signing the teenager and if the £50 million transfer deal worked out, Martinell would become the most expensive 18-year-old star in history.

The Brazilian's current contract with Arsenal tie him to Emirates Stadium till 2024 but the London side will want their star to stay for a long time.

Martinelli is currently on £10,000 a week, but a pay rise is possible in other to wade Real interest with Arsenal planning to hand him a contract that will help him earn £30,000-a-week.

Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was full of praise for Martinelli following his impressive courage against Chelsea.
