Son Heung-min's late minute goal was all Tottenham Hotspur needed to outscore stubborn Norwich City at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday night.

The South Korean attacker tapped into the net a deflected cross from Dele Alli to seal the victory for the home team.

Giovani Lo Celso started the build-up to Spurs' winning goal after picking up Alli who was already making a run down the right flank moments before the goal.

Meanwhile, the victory means Jose Mourinho's men are now sixth on the table with 34 points after 24 matches so far this campaign.

Dele Alli opened scoring for the north London club seven minutes before half time after all the efforts earlier in the game failed to find the back of the net with Serge Aurier taking credit for the assist of the goal.

The hosts got the game started on a low, allowing their visitors to grow confidence minutes into the match.

Daniel Farke's men made some daring attacks but were just unlucky to get the final balls behind the net.

After several times of making efforts at goal, the Yellow Canaries got their prayers answered after Ryan Sessegnon's mistimed challenge fouled Max Aarons.

And Teemu Pukki carefully converted the spot-kick to level up for his side in the 70th minute with Hugo Lloris almost catching the ball.

But all that stopped being a concern nine minutes later as Son gave his side the winning goal eleven minutes to the end of the match.

Meanwhile, Spurs' next Premier League fixture is against defending champions Manchester City at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, February 2nd.
