Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne is painting the Premier League red with double figures of assists in the past few seasons.

The Belgium international has been impressive for the Citizens since he joined them in the summer of 2015.

De Bruyne provided assist for Sergio Aguero's lone goal that helped City overpower Sheffield United at the Bramall Lane to increase his tally this campaign.

According to Give Me Sport, the former Chelsea forward is the first player in the history of the competition to register 15 or more assists in three different seasons.

The Belgian has already created 15 assists so far this season while Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold follows with nine assists.

In the 2017-18 season, the midfielder recorded 16 assists after 37 Premier League appearances and a year before, he racked up 18 in 36 games.

Apart from the number of assists he has created this season, De Bruyne has also scored seven goals.

Despite playing 19 Premier League games last term, the 28-year-old made history with Man City as the first English team to win domestic treble.

He has scored 30 goals and registered 61 assists in 143 English topflight appearances since he joined them about five years back.

The attacker has also won 2 EPL titles while winning the 2017-18 playmaker of the season after an impressive season.

Meanwhile, one of his goals this season has already won the Premier League goal of the month.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Sergio Aguero needed just five minutes after his introduction to fire Manchester City to 1-0 win over Sheffield United at the Bramall Lane.

Despite grabbing two goals in their last game against Crystal Palace last weekend, the Argentine started their midweek encounter from the bench.

However, he was brought on to replace Gabriel Jesus in the 68th minute and barely five minutes after, he handed the visitors the crucial win.
