Barcelona have made a request for Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on loan as replacement for injured Luis Suarez, reports claim.

According to Spanish news media outlet Per Goal, Suarez will not be available for the club until the tail end of the season and the Camp Nou outfit have chosen the Gabonese striker as a worthy replacement.

It is understood that La Blaugrana's new manager Quique Setien and the club's hierarchy met and agreement was made to sign Aubameyang on loan and concentrate on bringing in Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez in the summer.

But Arsenal fans have not reacted well to reports regarding the claims about Barcelona's bid for their priceless possession.

One fan said: "Heard you want to sign Aubameyang. How about you throw in £150M and Lionel Messi and Maybe we might consider."

Another added: "If Aubameyang leave arsenal to Barcelona on loan this winter then arsenal is a joke."

A third added: "If Aubameyang leaves to Barcelona, the only preferable option is to LIQUIDATE THE CLUB."

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta recently disclosed that he does not want Aubameyang who has 18 months left on his contract with the club to leave the Emirates.
