Chelsea on Tuesday, January 21, were forced to a 2-2 draw by visiting Arsenal in a tough Premier League encounter which was played at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues would however have themselves to blame for allowing 10-man Arsenal to come back into this game after David Luiz was red carded in the first half.

Frank Lampard's men started this encounter with serious pace looking for an early goal in which goalkeeper Bernd Leno was forced to make a safe after a brilliant shot from Willian.

Arsenal were reduced to ten men in the 26th minute when Brazilian defender David Luiz brought down Tammy Abraham in which the referee gave Chelsea a penalty and sent the Brazilian out.

Jorginho then stepped forward to convert the penalty for Chelsea sending Bernd Leno the wrong way in the 28th minute.

The Gunners came back into the game in the 63rd minute with a superb goal by Gabriel Martinelli who was almost stopped by N'Golo Kante before beating goalkeeper Arrizabalaga.

Chelsea took the lead again in the 84th minute through Cesar Azpilicueta who was assisted by Callum Hudson Odoi, but the Gunners restored parity once again in the 87th minute through Hector Bellerin who gained an assist from Lucas Torreira.

Despite been 1-man down, Arsenal tried all they could to win this match, but the encounter eventually ended 2-2 at Stamford Bridge.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Uruguayan professional football star Edinson Cavani could be on his way to the Premier League to join Chelsea from PSG as the Blues are reportedly ready to offer him 18-month deal.
