Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly on the verge of landing Borussia Dortmund Jadon Sancho in a mega deal this winter.

The 19-year-old midfielder has been one of the hottest teenagers in top five European Leagues since he moved to Germany from Manchester City.

He has scored nine goals and registered nine assists from 15 Bundesliga appearances so far this season - with a couple more in other competitions.

SunSport reports that the Blues are ready to cough out a club-record fee of about £120 million to sign the England youngster.

The publication stated that the Stamford Bridge side are hoping they could finalize his deal this month, but it appears the German side will not allow their man leave until after the season.

With so much interest in Sancho, Dortmund are said to be shopping for his replacements.

Liverpool and Manchester United are other Premier League sides interested in the teenage sensation, while others are also monitoring the situation.

According to Duncan Castles on the Transfer Window Podcast, Chelsea billionaire Roman Abramovich has sanctioned the deal with club director Marina Granovskaia “very keen” on making the transfer.

The 19-year-old became an instant hit since he ditched Manchester City for Dortmund in 2017, and has 26 goals and registered 36 assists in 79 appearances.

Blues boss Frank Lampard failed to sign any player last summer due to the club's ban but has made his intentions known he will add depth to his attack this month.

He has not found a replacement for Eden Hazard who joined Real Madrid in mega-deal in August 2019 after ending his over seven years reign at Stamford Bridge.

It is unsure if Olivier Giroud will remain at the club after failing to get enough playing time under the Blues legend.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Jadon Sancho is being eyed by Chelsea as the Premier League giants are said to have thrown in an option of luring the England star to Stamford Bridge in the next summer.

The 19-yer-old has been in sensational form for Borussia Dortmund but a late return to Germany after the international break has seen him fall down the pecking order with the German side.

And Chelsea are reported to have been eyeing the winger who is also wanted by Manchester United and Liverpool.
