- Paul Pogba's move to Real Madrid might not be visible any longer
- The Frenchman was linked with a move to join the Spanish League giants last summer
- Real president Perez stylishly tells Pogba to forget coming to Santiago Bernabeu
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has jokingly told want-away Manchester United star Paul Pogba to forget about joining the La Liga side.
The Frenchman was heavily linked with a move to join the Spanish League giants last summer but the deal failed to pull through.
About six months down the lane, Perez said after Los Blancos won the Spanish Super Cup title in Saudi Arabia that 'I don't know who Pogba is'.
Pogba has made just eight appearances this campaign owing to a nagging knee injury he suffered during their 1-1 draw against Arsenal in September.
Goal.com reports that Real chief is giving nothing away with regard to a possible pursuit of the World Cup-winning midfielder.
"I don't know who Pogba is,” Perez said jokingly following Real Madrid’s Spanish Super Cup victory over local rivals Atletico Madrid in Saudi Arabia.
Reports in Spain claim Perez seems to be looking the other way on Pogba's pursuit due to the emergence of highly-rated midfielder Federico Valverde.
The Uruguay international has been superb for the Galacticos so far this campaign since he broke into the team.
Valverde, 21, has featured 21 times for Madrid in all competitions this campaign and his performance against Atletico Madrid last weekend was top notch.

Perez has made no secret of his admiration for the young prodigy, insisting that he has what it takes to etch his name into Los Blancos folklore.
“[Valverde] will figure as one of the great stars at Real Madrid for years to come,” Perez said.
Real Madrid are also interested in Paris Saint Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe as they hope to find a quality replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is one of the most blessed footballers in the world considering the amount he makes every week at Old Trafford.
The France international who made a return to Manchester United in 2016 has been linked with a move away from the Premier League with Real Madrid and Juventus said to be interested.
Pogba has not been impressive this season for Manchester United in all competitions, and there have been many calls from fans for the club to sell him.
