Despite all the transfer speculation surrounding his future at Premier League side Arsenal, Mesut Ozil has stated clearly that he will remain at the Emirates stadium.
Since Mikel Arteta replaced Unai Emery at Arsenal, Mesut Ozil has returned to the first squad with Arteta promising to build his team around the former Real Madrid star.
There have been reports that Arsenal could be sending Mesut Ozil out on loan, but the player himself wants to stay with the Gunners.
Arteta has publicly hailed Mesut Ozil's influence since he became new Arsenal manager and the German wants to continue working under the Spaniard.
“I’m very pleased with my contract and I will continue here this season and next.
"I can’t tell you what the future will bring, I’m excited about the future, but I don’t know what’s going to happen,''. Mesut Ozil told Bein Sports Turkey.
Arsenal will face Sheffield United in their next Premier League game on Saturday, January 18, in which Mesut Ozil is expected to be in the first squad.
The Gunners are currently occupying 10th position on the Premier League standings with 28 points after 22 games played.
