Jetro Willems has named Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore as the toughest opponent he has faced in his football career.
The 25-year-old Dutchman is one of the best defenders this season in the Premier League considering his performances for Newcastle United.
While playing for the Netherlands during the Euro 2012, Jetro Willems faced Cristiano Ronaldo and was able to cope with the pace of the Portugal international.
He has now made it clear that facing Cristiano Ronaldo was a breeze for him stressing that Adama Traore always gives him tough time.
“I have played against some very good players in my career but no one quite as fast as Traore. He is unbelievable, definitely a beast. Not only is he incredibly fast, he is so, so strong as well.
“He's known as the fastest man in football and now I know that is true.
“I have played against Ronaldo who is fast but not that fast. Of course, he is so skillful, but sometimes that is easier than being up against someone with incredible pace,'' Jetro explained according to UK Sun.
Adama Traore has been so superb this season for Wolves in which the club are said to have slapped massive sum of £70 million on him.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Cristiano Ronaldo seems to be taking his training to a more exciting level after he was spotted with Nigerian-born Portuguese sprinter Francis Obikwelu in his Lisbon gym in Portugal.
The Portuguese superstar footie is often adjudged one of the most complete stars in sports, with his match-winning brilliant 8ft-sin header against Sampdoria clearly making him out as a special breed.
