English professional footballer Conor Gallagher has completed a loan move to Championship club Swansea City from Premier League giants Chelsea.
The 19-year-old midfielder was recently recalled from his loan spell at Charlton Athletic by Chelsea chiefs before they decided to loan him out again.
Before Conor Gallagher was loaned to Swansea, there were reports that Premier League side Burnley and Norwich City were interested in him, but Chelsea refused to do business.
Conor Gallagher is now expected to spend the rest of 2019/20 season at Swansea City who also have the option of signing him on a permanent basis.
“I’m disappointed. I didn’t see this coming if I’m honest, which makes it harder to take. At the end of the day, though, we have to move on.
“He’s been a credit and a pleasure to work with. He’s come in and put his body on the line every single day. He’s scored us goals and helped us win games.
“For someone so young, he’s a great talent to work with, and I wish him all the best for his future,''. Charlton boss Lee Bowyer explained.
Meanwhile, Swansea City are currently occupying seventh position on the Championship table, while Chelsea occupy fourth with 39 points.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Chelsea completed their first January signing after wrapping up a deal for Norwegian wonderkid Bryan Fiabema.
The teenager is understood to have had met with his new teammates at Stamford Bridge after Saturday’s win over Burnley.
