Man narrates how a plumber almost scammed him of N24,500

- A Nigerian man recently took to social media to recount how he almost got scammed by his plumber

- According to the man identified as Arinze Odira, he was given a quote of N43,500 as cost of materials

- However, he got to the market and discovered the total cost was N19,000

It is no news that dishonest people often find ways to hustle money out of people in their line of work. Twitter user, Arinze Odira, recently left many people in shock after he revealed how his plumber almost scammed him.

According to him, the said plumber gave him a quote of N43,500 for a job he was contracted to do. Odira stated that, rather than give the money to him, he decided to go with him to shop for the materials and ended up spending only N19,000.

He wrote: "Last year, a plumber gave me a quote of 43.5k naira as cost of material. I told him to enter the car, 'Driver, let's go to the market' He was shocked. Children of God, we spent only 19k on those materials. According to my driver, It would have been less if I was 'street enough'."
