But reports in Spain claim Messi has insisted that La Blaugrana should sign red hot Manchester City striker Aguero who recently broke Thierry Henry's Premier League record against Aston Villa.
Aguero has just 18 months left on his current deal at the Etihad and the 32-year-old will be considering where he will spend final stages of his career.
