- Alexandre Lacazette is wanted by La Liga side Atletico Madrid
- The Frenchman has stalled on signing a new deal with the Gunners
- Lacazette is Diego Simone's second choice after Edinson Cavani at the end of the season
Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in landing Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette at the end of the ongoing season.
The Frenchman has scored six goals in 18 appearances across competitions for the Gunners so far this campaign.
But despite the interest, the 28-year-old will only be considered to join the La Liga club if Diego Simeone fails to secure the services of Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani.

According to SunSport, the 32-year-old has just six months left on his current deal with PSG having scored 198 goals in 291 matches for the French league champions.
Atletico will hope they can sign the forward on a free transfer once his deal runs out with the Paris club in the summer.
Meanwhile, the arrival of Mauro Icardi last August has seen Cavani's playing time seriously reduced. He has two goals credited to his name this season.
The Sun reveals that Simeone is hoping to get the former Napoli forward agree on a deal before both parties put pen to paper.
A number of Premier League clubs; Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United have also shown interest in the striker.
This, however, means that Atletico must step up their bid to ensure they succeed in landing the prolific striker.
Signing Lacazette is understood to be Simeone’s second option.
The Frenchman has stalled on signing a new deal and Arsenal could decide to cash in with Gabriel Martinelli stepping up his game at the Emirates Stadium.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Aliko Dangote, Africa's richest man, has hinted at possible takeover of Premier League giants Arsenal, with the Nigerian business mogul declaring the takeover could happen in 2020 or 2021.
Dangote, a die-hard Arsenal fan, has been previously linked with the purchase of the club from Stan Kroenke — a deal that could gulp over $4 billion from his pocket.
But speaking with David Rubenstein in a show in America, the 62-year-old business mogul gave Nigerian Arsenal fans a sigh of relief after re-establishing interest in taking over the purchase of the North London side.
