Marcus Rashford recently reached two hundred appearances for Manchester United in their 4-0 win over Norwich City last weekend.

The 22-year-old scored two of the goals that handed the Red Devils their ninth Premier League win of the season.

Rashford has scored 19 goals across competitions so far this campaign and the numbers could swell as the season progresses.

After the match, Man United hailed the striker as the third-youngest player at Old Trafford to achieve the feat after George Best and Ryan Giggs.

Meanwhile, Norman Whiteside’s wife Dee has called out the Red Devils for overlooking her husband, who appeared to have reached the numbers at a much younger age.

According to the Mirror, Sir Bobby Charlton and Cristiano Ronaldo should be among the list of players in that category.

The publication added that Whiteside made his 200th games in their 1-1 draw against Leicester City at the age of 21 and four months on September 6, 1986.

She said: "Think my hubby NormanWhiteside was younger than all three of you in actual fact."‍♀️

Rashford took to social media to express his excitement to become the third-youngest star after Best and Giggs to reach the feat.

Whiteside’s wife responded to Rashford’s tweet, pointing out the blunder, and said: "Think my hubby @NormanWhiteside was younger than all three of you in actual fact.”

Man United staff, who reeled out the stats later apologised to the forward and his wife for the oversight.

The 54-year-old striker Whiteside remains the youngest player to appear at a World Cup finals, when he played for Northern Ireland in Spain in 1982.

"Appreciation tweet for the great Norman Whiteside. Never to be overlooked," Rashford wrote on Twitter after Man United's apology.
